From Norman Oklahoma to San Diego California
The van overheated in Mississippi and had been slowly loosing coolant in the form of face vapor from the vents, but on the morning in Dallas we woke up to find a huge puddle of coolant below the van. We took the van to the local GMC dealership who identified the rusted Heater coil as the problesm and prescribed a 1200$ repair. The part was not available that day anyways, so we filled a jug of water and made our way to Norman OK.
The promoter suggested we try Terry's Auto, who could be trusted for an honest repair. We followed the recommendation and ended up having the van repaired for free! Thank you Terry. We even tried to tip him, but as Terry pointed to his shirt pocket, he said "you see this here says boss, and I'm the boss". He realized he wasn't wearing his boss name tag but assured us that normally it would say boss.
We drove off but decided to return with a case.

Day 40.
Pat braves the cold for another drive. Moral is low, and the crew is planning a mutiny.

Roads close, as we hardly make half way to our destination. The Albuquerque show is cancelled. The drive through liquor store is the only option.
